Living near the ocean, I’m always aware of how the light changes at the end of the day. There’s a particular moment — when the sky turns soft peach, and the water reflects hints of pink and gold — that feels like a gift. The air smells faintly of salt. Everything slows.

I wanted to capture the joy I feel being in nature and translate the freedom and ease of walking on the shoreline. There’s a feeling of peace that washes over you as you sink your feet into the sand, hear the quiet whisper of the waves and feel the sun kiss your cheeks. You feel wildly connected to something greater than yourself. Your senses are ignited and your imagination expands. Today anything is possible! I used bright, happy colors to express this feeling.
